The 2025 Barrel-Aged Black Watch is especially meaningful. We aged it in bourbon barrels from Cooks Mill Original American Whiskey, personally sourced by our founder, Oscar Wong. At 11% ABV, it’s bold, warming, and beautifully balanced with vanilla, oak, and spice.

Picked up a 500 ml bottle from the Charlotte Road main campus 12-12-25 for $22.00. Wife was astounded i paid that much for a beer. 2025 bottling consumed 2-17-26. Wine fridge chilled since purchase.
Beer poured black with a nice tan head.
Nose has notes of roasted malts, cocoa, and vanilla.
Taste is a medium roasted malt base that melds very nicely with the cocoa addition. Getting some vanilla in post sip aspirations. Barrel is warming post sip and balances just enough to leave a sweet milk stout finish that is appropriate.
Mouthfeel has been thinned out with time in the barrel; medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, this was fun to try once but the base beer is slightly better in terms of viscosity.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
