A special one and done firkin offered during for those lucky to grab a glass during the release of the "standard stuff"
Aged in the firkin with bourbon soak oak spirals.
A-Deep, dark brownish tinged black with a thin dark tan head that reduced to a thin ring.
S-Prominent oak notes with hints of cocoa, raisins, vanilla and roasted malt.
T-Rich, deep burnt roasted malt with cocoa, oak, vanilla, leather and coffee. Very nice and VERY complex.
M-Meadium-heavy to heavy bodied. Rich and full flavoured. A strong, long lasting roasted malt bitterness overlaid by the mellow bourbon characteristics.
D-Very nice, a well done and most unexpected offering. I applaud Highland for breaking out this special treat. Too bad I most likely will never have it again...nice to be in the right place at the right time!
