Lush notes of passionfruit and sweet pineapple from Citra and Azacca hops paired with tropical hop oil make this DIPA deliciously bold.

Not sure why the average reviews. This is a tropical double ipa @ 9.7%. Sweet on the nose. You do not taste the 9.7% at all. This isn't a bad beer at all. Its tropical like advertising says. I could drink a lot of these sitting on the beach letting the water hit me while sit.....just dont know if I could stand!

Great job! Good beer!

Purchased as part of a mix 12 pack at the Ingles in Sylva NC,

LOOK: Poured into a pilsner glass. Produces a hansome all white head and displays curtains of glass lace. Color is a light golden orange. Significant rising carbonation maintain the handsome head. the appearance of this beer is excellent to the eye.
AROMA: This is quite different than expected. Very sweet, with a candy or Juicy fruit gum aroma. I don't get any citrus, and the bubblegim sweetness makes malt evasive to the nose.
TASTE: Very much follows the nose with the addition of boozy alcohol added in. Sweet with a drying finish.
OVERALL: The range of flavors that I personnally find beer appropriate don't include this candied, fruit gum flavor. This beer looked great to the eye but not to my taste buds.

It’s strong, so at least it will get you a buzz. But that’s about it. Overly sweet and candy like, with barely any bitterness. Still looking for the elusive, mass produced IPA that is at least close to the artisanal stuff. I should just stick with Burial, Resident Culture, The Veil, etc.

This is definitely not my thing. Fruity, super sweet, slightly boozey, honestly tough to finish. I normally stay away from beer described as tropical, and this one reminds me why.

Very syrupy/medicine-like and sweet taste for an IPA.ok to try once and that's all for me.

Sampled this as part of a mixed 12 pack while camping in North Carolina mountains. Poured from can into pint glass. Deep yellow with half inch of head. Leaves heavy lacing behind. Distinct odor of juicy fruit gum from Wrigleys. Taste is sweet, artificial candy all the way through. Mouth feel is nice with appropriate carbonation. I agree with my brother from Tennessee: should have left the oatmeal porter in the 12 pack instead of this gimmicky beer.

Fake fruit juice beer for people who hate beer. I’m very disappointed they replaced the oatmeal porter in the mix pack with this.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a New Belgium Globe Glass

The beer pours an orange/straw color with about 3 fingers of worth of rocky white head recedes fairly quickly leaving behind quite a bit of sticky lacing.

Aroma is big, but fairly one dimensional; artificial fruitiness, like a cheap fruit punch flavored soda. I don't really get any hint of the underlying malt

The flavor is less artificial than the aroma, but still gives off strange notes of fruit flavor additives. There is some pineapple, passionfruit, and bits of citrus with a slight cracker like malt flavor. Medium bodied and well carbonated

Overall, this is an OK beer, but not one that I will seek out again.

12 oz can from the Wall of Beer in Clemson, SC ($1.99). A March 2024 canning date is stamped on the bottom.

Appearance. Orange-amber colored body with a decent but short white head.

Aroma. A pleasing, fruity aroma but being more like fruit punch than IPA it suggests a poor flavor.

Flavor. Fortunately this tastes like a very fruity IPA rather than like a spiked fruit punch. Notes of pineapple, mango, and passionfruit abound but they are accompanied by notes of grains and light, spicy hops.

The high ABV is well hidden.
