On tap at Marin Brewing Company in Larkspur, CA.

Pours a murky yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of candied grain, spice, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, spice, yeast, and slight banana flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and very easy to drink.

Serving type: on tap.

Had this at the brewery on 2009-04-27

This Belgian style wheat beer is a cloudy, pale lemon color with a short head and little lacing.

There's a grain and clove smell and taste. There's also a mild, sour yeast taste and a hint of bitter.

Carbonation and mouthfeel are light.

The beer was OK but not great.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured into a pint glass. Did not write down abv info.

A-Pours a super hazy golden yellow with a small white ring that surrounds a layer of white film.

S-Belgian yeast and wheat dominate, but as it warms lemon becomes a lot more prevalent.

T-A lot like it smells. The wheat and yeast are upfront and the citrus hits in the back leaving a nice tang along with some minor bitterness.

M-Medium bodied with crisp carbonation.

D-Went down very easily as I sat outside listening to live music. Really the perfect atmosphere for this beer.

As previously mentioned, this is a great one to have while enjoying a beautiful day. A good pick when I am not in the mood for their hoppy and or dark options.

Sampled on Beachwood BBQ on 3/29/09, reviewed from notes on my phone, always glad to see a draft only brew from Marin

A-Pale golden yellow color, 1/2 inch creamy white head that sticks around for a few minutes, some lace at the beginning
S-Wheat, biscuit, lemon, faint orange, tangerine, apricot, toasted malts, and various spices
T-Starts off with some citrus flavors, chewy malts in the middle, mostly spice and some more toastiness in the finish, wheat comes out more as it warms, not much orange peel in the flavor but what is there is nice, good amount of cloves by the end
M-Chewy, slightly sweet, and spicy mouthfeel, medium bodied, fair amount of carbonation, taste lingers longer than others in this style
D-This would make a nice session beer, very light, goes down easy, less than six percent ABV, good beer to go with a meal and will be nice in the upcoming summer months

A solid witbier overall and went well with the food, wish Marin bottled a lot of their tap beers because most of them are better than what they offer in bottles currently, would drink again, recommended

Tulip at the Toranado, hazy yellow with a white head, decent lace.

Smell is a bit floral, some citrus, some wheaty tang.

Taste is pretty grainy, loads of wheat, husky dryness, not of lot of esters, hard water.

Mouthfeel is dry, light.

Drinkability is OK, not my favorite take on style, more like a saison almost, I like Wit's a bit sweeter. Average overall.
