On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, the Indian Summer has been pretty light this year in the Southland, but that didn't stop me from trying this new one from Marin,
A: Pours an extremely pale yellow, looks like a light lager. The head leaves good lacing which helps to differentiate it.
S: Smells nothing like a light lager thank goodness. Vibrant nose, with a lot of melon - cantaloupe and honeydew with a hint of peach nectar. Quite a beautiful smelling beer.
T: Nice mix of melon and tropical fruit flavours. As with the nose, cantaloupe and honeydew, with some notes of kiwi and pineapple. Complex hop profile and very tasty.
M: Smooth, crisp, a bit on the lighter side for a body and does get a tad fizzy at times for the style and for me. But overall, not bad.
D: A fantastic new autumnal IPA from Marin. Well made, delicious, a must try if it's available.
