On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, listed as 20 + 1 Old Ale, but it appears to be the same thing.

A: Pours a deep red, with a firm medium white head, good lace.

S: Smells enchantingly of red wine and leather, great Brett notes.

T: The port barrel flavour again dominates with noticable funk from the Brett but more in an earthy mushroom and leather type play as opposed to horse blanket. Intriguing acetic type acidity makes for a really unique tasting new release.

M: Moderate acidity, full-bodied overall, quite smooth with mild carbonation.

D: Really good beer here from Marin. The flavours are integrated, the beer is well constructed and interesting. I'd love to see where this would go over time.

Sampled 11/13/2010 at -bal fest 2010. Aged in a Port barrel.

"Our 20th anniversary ale aged for 18 months with brett."

Pours dark murky brown, tan head, low lace and retention. Not a whole ton of bubbles coming out of solution.

Aroma is malty, oxidized, oaky, and funky with a hint of vinegar.

Flavor is vinegar (controlled), malty, dry, oak, some chocolatey oxidation, and funky. Odd combination. And dry. Low CO2.

Body is medium/heavy, drinkability is low.
