Firkin at Triple Rock. An imperial porter brewed with TCHO cocoa nibs and cherries.

Muddy dark brown with heavy sediment. Pours with a finger of beige head that recedes to a crown.

Plenty of dusty dark chocolate on the nose, along with sweet and tart cherries and toasted malt.

Huge cherry flavor on the palate, sweet and ripe with a mild sourness from the fruit. Chocolate comes in mid-palate, bittersweet in character. This is fairly dry and light bodied, and the alcohol is very well hidden. The finish brings a mild coffee-like bitterness, and quite a bit more cherry sourness. This was quite enjoyable, easy to drink and pretty well balanced all-around.
