Growler from Iron Springs. Thanks, pokgye.
Clear orange-amber pour topped by a two finger head.
Smell: A ton of citrus and pine. Sweet oranges and tangarines, leafy and lightly tropical. Spicy and peppery. Subdued malt, no trace of alcohol.
Palate: Sweet orange and grapefruit, peppercorn, pine. A touch of malt, but surprisingly dry and hop-forward on the whole. Medium-bodied. Punchy, spicy finish, a bit herbal with a bitter kick. Really good stuff, I hope they make this again.

On tap at O'Briens in San Diego. A wonderfully aromatic IPA. It's a little different (in a very good way). Darker in color, the fruit and flowery notes are not overwhelming and are balanced oh-so-well by the hops. It's a fantastic brew. I don't bother to rate many beers, but this one deserves high marks and second glass. I may be wrong, but it's my understanding this is a limited release and may not be brewed again. It's a shame: this one is so good I'd love to see it on tap regularly.

On tap at Hamilton's during CBC at their FiftyFifty night. A collaborative beer brewed at Marin by Marin, Magnolia, and Iron Springs. It's a memorial beer for Danny Williams.
A: Burnished dark orange with an inch of white froth. Good retention and lots of scattered lacing.
S: Incredibly pungent. Concentrated tangerine and orange flesh with lesser notes of passion fruit, peach, and pineapple. Malt imparts a trace of caramel, as well as some graininess. No alcohol in the aroma. Light pine resin notes.
T: A fruit explosion: mango, passion fruit, orange flesh, grapefruit, and tangerine. Smooth upper moderate bitterness with no hint of astringency. I can't believe how well the alcohol is hidden. There's some sugary caramel and a light graininess. The finish is smooth and incredibly hoppy.
M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is sticky and dry.
Overall: Damn impressive. A beautiful beer.
