Madison Biere a la Liqueur Grand Marnier - the French beer with the longest name. A light golden colour with a taste of orange. Pleasant really. Not a sit-down-in-the-pub-and-knock-back-one-or-two beer. Its a meal beer. It goes well with duck and foul and try it with a pastry tray (French pastry of course) and it will wash things down well. Now that I've said that my wife has been seen sitting on the back deck enjoying it all by itself!

I never expected to see anything like this. A coworker recently sent me a bottle, and I've yet to hear the story behind where she got it from. However it's a French beer, and all the writing is in French, which doesn't pose too much of a problem.

Comes in a clear 250ml bottle with minimal logo silkscreened onto it. Complete name on label is Madison Biere a la Liqueur Grand Marnier. That's right, 7.2% Grand Marnier infused beer. Pours out a dense, hazy light golden colour. Smells just like a shandy at first, ginger ale sweet. Slight hint of orange. Flavour is sweet as well, light Grand Marnier flavour overpowers all else. Very light and drinkable for the punch of the alcohol content, but I could only see this as a dessert beer. An interesting sample, but far too sweet and boozy to drink a lot of.
