750 ml corked bottle, bought at Systembolaget, Sweden. ABV is 7.5%. Clear very pale golden colour (like a continental pilsener), big and lasting white head. Very moderate aroma, some spicy, fruity (banana) and yeasty notes. Fizzy and peppery mouthfeel. The flavour is distinctly spicy / peppery, on a background of fruity sweetness. The ABV is not particularly well hidden. Okay beer, but I hoped for something even better.

Nice tasting beer, could use a little oomph in the looks department. Pale golden color wth sparse head and lazy carbonation. Else, it has a nice hoppy aroma and taste, smooth and delicious. Reminds me of Duvel without the velvety smooth texture. This is actually quite good, and I could easily make this my daily (if it was more readily acceptable...)

Boring beer.
Pale, blond color, little head.
Very sweet taste, almost as if sugar was added directly.
Some hoppiness, unidentified - almos interesting, but disappears quickly and the taste doesn't linger.
Some carbonation.
Mouthfeel is agreeable because sweet, but that's it.

Drinkable but nothing "mythique" (i.e. mythical) here

A: Pale gold color. Crystal clear. Looks like a lager. Small, white head with low retention. - 3
S: VERY mild, rice cereal.
T: Sweet malt, slight bitter hop in the end.
M: Smooth, medium body. Slightly dry finish.
O: Meh. This is certainly not one to write home about. French wine is decidedly better than French beer.

On tap in a small hole-in-the wall restaurant in Vieux Lille, Estaminet Au Vieux de la Vielle. Served in a branded glass from the brewery.
Appearance: Pale clear gold. Thin white head, sheets of lacing and some persistent strands noted.
Smell: Faint - slight hint of honey, some herbal notes.
Taste: Crisp and dry. Simple malt, crisp hop finish. Some hints of apple, honey, cut grass, and herbal hops are in there as well.
Mouthfeel: Spicy, a bit sticky with some hop oils sticking to the teeth. Lively carbonation just south of fizzy.
Overall / Drinkability: It's okay. Not a great beer, but okay with a meal. Not as flavorful as other biere de garde I've had. Not sure I would get it again. Dangerous alcohol content though - it sneaks up on you, didn't even think it was a high ABV beer until I got up from the table and then I could notice it.
