Copenhagen 4/12 2021. 75 cl corked bottle from Lidl, Lygten, Kbh. NV. Dark blue label with a galaxy of minuscule stars and drawings of mosaic church windows.
Pours clear amber with a mid-sized, fluffy white head. Settles as uneven but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sugary, sweet odor mingling with Christmas spices. Brown sugar, bread and hard candy. Cloves and cinnamon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet bordering on being sugary. Light spicy touch. Lingers for a while. Finish is a bit dry.
Very much on the sweet and sugary side. A bit too much.
