From a growler obtained at the brewery. Sampled on September 28, 2014.
Medium copper-reddish pour with a boisterous cream colored head that lingers for some time.
The aroma exhibits the kinds of characteristics expected from the style including Belgian candied sugar, Belgian toasted malts, and a peppery spice. No booze on the nose given its 10% ABV.
Full body and somewhat chewy.
The taste is also sweet and malty but the booze seems to present itself more than I got on the nose. A nice reasonably balanced Quad.
