This is the new stout from Trout River, replacing the Chocolate Oatmeal Stout.
Appearance is dark, with an off-white head that subsides quickly. Lots of lacing on the sides of the glass though. The smell is slightly sweet, chocolate, hints of coffee.
Taste is slightly sweet, with hints of coffee and mild chocolate taste. The mouthfeel is smooth, slightly watery. Drinkability is high, I recommend it on nitro if you are having one of the delicious pizzas at the brewpub, and grab a growler on the CO2 on your way out. Trout Rivers finest brew yet, and a much better stout than their Chocolate Oatmeal predecessor.
