The beer arrived on the bar in a chilled glass a cloudy pale yellow with a tall white head that lasted to coat the glass.
The aroma was slight due to how cold the beer was served, but as it warmed became orange peel and slight coriander. The orange was noticeable when cold but became bright as the beer warmed.
The flavor was wheat and bitterness from the orange and a slight coriander spice. Flavor from the coriander was low and the bitterness and flavor from the peel is high.
The finish was dry with orange peel lasting long into the aftertaste. The body was medium light and just a tap too light.
With a little more complexity and more coriander this beer would lead the pack of Wits made by micros. Not bad for the first seasonal offering and very refreshing.
15 bbl batch on available on tap at certain festivals, 42nd Street Oyster Bar and Horniblows Tavern. Pint at 42nd Street.
