Dark hazy brown that lets a little light through. Fizzy soapy head with little R&L. Smell is chalky roast with a healthy helping of Fuggles. Flavor is big chocolate with the alcohol adding just the right amount. Some rubbing alcohol in the flavor unfortunately, which is the only big detraction from the beer and the only harshness. Coffee comes through with the finish. The feel is light and smooth and seems very Belgian to me. Makes me think that they use some sugar, real chocolate, or another adjunct to make this porter feel like some dubbels.
Overall this is a nice beer that I would gladly have again, hoping that the annoying fermentation flavors were just in this batch. The thin feel make it drinkable and the big dose of English hops plays a bigger role than in most porters.

Pours almost black with a small light tan head. Very very smooth. Thinner than was expected, but in this case thinner is better. Simple and well balaced. 7.4% remains hidden. A first class porter brewed off the power grid. I look forward to more great beers from the Kingdom!
