I had this beer on tap at the Burlingame, CA location. It was labeled as a "Trippel" (their spelling, not mine) and they did not give an ABV for it on the board.
The beer was served in a pint glass with a light orange to amber color and light head covering the top. The aroma is sweet but not much else in the nose. The taste comes with metallic flavors which is not so good. Perhaps the glassware at the bpub was not clean, but that would be a shame since they are a brewpub. Flavors of orange, raisin, teast, and tartness also came through, but as a whole I would have to say that this was not true to the tripel style. It is basically a sweet astringent cocktail. I would not waste your time or you pallate tasting this beer. It is all show, no go.
