Cascadian dark ale brewed with numerous varieties of hops grown throughout the northwest. This medium bodied black ale has a creamy off-white head with aromas of chocolate and enough hops to balance out the rich roasted malt flavor.

Look: Pitch black on the pour and impenetrable to light with a huge, frothy tan head that swells up and refuses to settle, finally succumbing and leaving sticky lacing behind
Aroma: Pine sap and needles, pithy grapefruit, dark chocolate, light roast, warm brown bread, and oranges
Taste: A delicious combo of pine, citrus, and chocolate come together to start it off as roast follows closely behind. Layers of bready malt and chocolate go back and forth with hops throughout and closes with lightly bitter chocolate, citrusy hops, and a bite
Mouthfeel: Full, silky smooth, medium-high carbonation, and medium strength dryness on the finish
Overall: This is good stuff. I love what these folks do and was excited they packaged one of my favorite styles so of course, bought some. It’s a tasty CDA with a nice balance of hops and malt where neither dominates nor clashes in my opinion. Tasty, way too easy to drink, and highly recommended
