First of all, by name it is a blonde ale but by taste and description on the menu, it is a cream ale. Go figure.
Appearance: Golden orange color with a thin white head. The head is uneven with a mixture of small and large bubbles. not much texture to the beer to support the head and it died quickly.
Smell: A light malty aroma follwed by a sublte citrus scent wafting in rememberance of hop cones once soaked in the fluid.
Taste: Crisp pale maltiness dominates this beer. There is a slight soapy character with a good hop balance over the malt. There are also some sweet and tangy floral flavors. It's a very tasty and refreshing blend of flavors done very well.
Mouthfeel: Soft on the palate and it leaves a pleasing bready aftertaste in my mouth.
Drinkability: I was pleansantly surprised by this beer. I don't normally enjoy cream ales/blondes but I am glad I gave this one a shot. It pairs very well with all sorts of food and by itself it is a pleasing and refreshing beer. The hop balance is the subtle star to in this brew. Very nice flavors of cascade hops pet the maltiness of the beer making it a very good brew.
