Draft at Bert's. Dark, dark brown pour, thin beige head. Chocolaty aroma, light sweet notes. Taste is chocolaty and roasty, faint coffee flavors. Smooth and tasty. Poundable.

Look: Pitch black with a frothy and quick-growing light brown head that slowly settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Chocolate, roasted barley, light nutty notes, toasted brown bread, and some earthy notes
Taste: Roast and chocolate come on strong and quickly joined by earthiness and some nice, almost filbert-like nutty tones. Bready malt, chocolate, and roast continue to hold strong to the finish where earthiness reappears to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, smooth, medium-high carbonation, and silky except at the finish where a little dryness comes into play
Overall: This is tasty stuff. Another winner from these folks and a delicious American stout as well. Nice depth of chocolate, roast notes, malt, and some nuttiness combined with a really good feel. These folks keep impressing me and I can’t wait to try more of their lineup plus more of this tasty offering as it is a definite re-buy. Recommended

Nice black body with large thick and creamy tan head. Good looking beer.
Aromas of toasted barley , semi-sweet chocolate and sundried figs.
Taste is strangely salty. Like sea salt chocolate. Don't get me wrong! Its great . Creamy and with a bit of toasted brown bread.
Nice thick, smooth mouth feel.
A nice and slightly unusual stout. Definitely a sweet stout

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: black with a finger of creamy dark tan foam.
Smell: super chocolatey with a little roast underneath. I like it.
Taste: less chocolatey than the aroma but nicely roasty. Bitterness is well balanced; quite good.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a super smooth creaminess. Outstanding.
Overall: this is a big surprise. I didn't know what to expect, but this is really good.
