Fugglerama is a pale ale brewed with fresh Willamette Valley fuggles picked just hours before brewing. The 2 in the name refers to this as the second of two batches brewed by Steelhead this season. The first was said to be somewhat less hoppy.
Fug2 (what a delightful nickname) is an exceptionally dense translucent ochre-yellow capped with a skinny white head. The aroma is entirely skunky but in the nicest kind of way similar to how some other members of the cannabaceae family are said to be skunky. I happen to appreciate this quality a great deal though it does remind me of skunk cabbage or marshlands in winter. Dont let this put you off as the smell is not indicative of any beer troubles such as prolonged exposure to light.
As might be expected, the taste has strong hop flavor and bittering though the abundance of moist green hops takes its toll on the mouthfeel, adding a touch of chalk to the texture. An enjoyable beer. Get it while you can.
