Steelhead offers a number of porters and red ales as one-time releases. This one sports a wonderfully complex aroma of shaved chocolate, brown sugar, and coffee beans. It is laceless, light bodied and holds together well for the duration of a pint. The taste comes with its own afterlife in the form of a long, smoky decay. A fine drinking porter with enough distinction to hold your attention.
