This American Pale Ale is brewed with all Northwest hops and plenty of Munich malt and two row barley. This deep gold hued ale is given a heavy handed amount of Mt. Hood hop addition in the kettle which gives it a powerful hop flavor, and dry hopped after fermentation.

Look: Clear golden yellow with a spritzy white head that quickly settles to a film, leaving decent lacing behind
Aroma: Light wafts of lemon, some grassy notes, sweet honeysuckle flowers, honey-like sweetness, and bready malt
Taste: Cut grass and lemon get things going before being quickly joined by a nice floral bouquet. Sweet honey-led malt notes and bready goodness keep their foothold as the hops all dance before closing out with honey and floral hops
Mouthfeel: Full, soft throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a light hop bite and light dryness on the finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff and a nice surprise as well. I’ve passed up trying these folks’ beer a couple times over the years as I hadn’t heard much about them but I shouldn’t have as this us unique and impressive. A fine APA and not sure if it’s the Mt. Hood hops (I’m not super familiar) but the grassy/lemon/floral aspects are unique and delicious. Recommended

Odd brownish tint, clear, and plenty of foam in the glass. Adequate spritz on the tongue. The aroma is faint but it is somewhat woodsy and herbal in the nose. Flavors of tea, honey, straw. Some malty sweetness along with the hay.

I don't know that Mt. Hood is such a good hop for a Pale Ale, though it might be useful for a more German style of beer. I don't find it so spicy, it's more like leaf mold. Interesting but not a favorite for me. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Market of Choice in Eugene.
