I've tried bottle-conditioned beers before, but this is my first true "cask ale". If this one is any indication I MUST try more.
Pours a color similar to copper or perhaps cherry wood stain. Very light, off white head. A very oaky, woodsy aroma with a hefty malt backbone. Absolutely heavenly. I've never rated a beer a 5 in the taste rating before now. I've had many REALLY good ones, but not one that I'd consider perfect. Until now. Very sweet & malty. Not sure how else to describe it. WOW! Mouthfeel is nice and full of body. Smooth and decidedly unharsh. The only reason i rated this beer a 5 in drinkability is because the numbers don't go any higher. I've never had a beer of this abv go down so smooth and easy. I hope to try some of this again before it's gone.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
