Look: Opaque amber with a frothy off-white head that is short-lived and settles to a film, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Roasted pumpkin flesh and seeds, subtle nutmeg, bready malt, and wafts of cinnamon
Taste: Cinnamon and a huge rush of pumpkin kick it off with some nice but light nutmeg filtering in as well. All of this blends well and hold until the roasted pumpkin regains control and dominates on the close
Mouthfeel: Full, medium-high carbonation, and a slightly smooth and soft finish
Overall: This is a very nice and delicious pumpkin beer. For all of my 15+ years drinking microbrew/craft Elysian’s Night Owl has been the gold standard for this style and rarely challenged in my opinion, but this is really making me re-think that. Tasty pumpkin flavor/aroma throughout and only some subtle spice notes, which I prefer as those can dominate the profile easily. Cheers McKenzie and recommended
