Look: Chestnut colored on the pour with a lively light tan head that billows and settles to a lid, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Filberts, freshly baked brown bread, toffee, wafts of brown sugar, caramel, and light earthy notes
Taste: Caramel, brown bread, and roasted filberts come on strong as some rich and sweet almost piloncillo-like notes quickly follow and mix in. Toffee gets a chance in the spotlight and quickly rejoined by bready malt and nuttiness on the close
Mouthfeel: Full, pretty clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a soft finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. I love a good nut brown and these folks have greatly impressed me over the past year since they became locally available so was stoked to see this. A nice, nutty brown ale with good malt flavor, some nice but light sweetness, and plenty of filbert (hazelnut) goodness throughout. Recommended

Draft at Bert's. Dark brown, opaque, thin tan head. Light nutty aroma. Hazelnuts much more pronounced in the taste. Toasty, malts, full feel. Really enjoyable.
