12 oz. Can from a sixer. Purchased from Waremart( WinCo) in Keizer Oregon.
$8.99
Pours nearly jet black with an attractive tan head.
Aromas of toasted barley and medium roast coffee. Also a touch of floral hops.
Nice enough beer
Taste similar to the aroma..long lasting coffee aftertaste.
Mouth feel is fine medium body..lowish carbonation.
Nice enough beer

Look: Pitch black in the glass and my aggressive pour brings on a tan head that builds slightly and quickly settles to a film, leaving spotty lacing behind
Aroma: Fresh baked brown bread, light roast notes, wafts of baker’s cocoa, and light earthiness
Taste: Kicks off with roast and cocoa in combination and soon followed by waves of toasted grains, bread, and toasted bread. Earthy notes weave in and out throughout and closes with another quick hit of dark chocolate and roast
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and finishes with a light robustness
Overall: I dig it. This is a hugely underrated and underrepresented style so pumped when I saw this one as these folks have been impressing me with their brewing skills and diverse portfolio for about two years now. Nice roast, chocolate, and bready notes but with earthy hops present in a clean feeling package. Definitely worth the buy and I will repeat the purchase
