Pours stand mid gold, minimal head, minimal lacing.Malty on the nose, sweet and bready taste. Full enough feel, medium carbonation. Decent beer, not a huge bock fan.

Pours a crystal clear, bright golden coloration with a large, fluffy head and visible carbonation. Smells of intense bready, doughy malt, with a certain sourdough quality to it, some grassy, slightly floral hops and just a hint of honey and hay, with subtle fruity accents as well. Taste is an excellent balance of quite doughy, bready, slightly grainy malt and grassy, floral and slightly fruity hops, with notes of freshly cut grass, wet hay, wildflower honey and some subtle berry accents. Finishes bittersweet, with a light bitterness and some doughy malt, grassy hops and honey lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for quite a rich Maibock that is dominated by sweet'ish, doughy malt, but balanced very nicely against some grassy, slightly bitter hops, making this surprisingly easy-drinking for its strength, without even a hint of booziness. Rich and satisfying, while still remaining quite quaffable and refreshing, this really makes for a very well balanced brew that is a joy to drink, with the mild hints of wildflower honey and berries really adding to drinking experience despite being rather subtle.

I'm trying this at the Augustiner in Berlin near the Hilton hotel. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

About as good as Pale Bocks can be.
This offers enough bitterniss to balance out the usually overly sweet pale Bocks
