The German word "Edelstoff" suggests an excellent or even superior quality beer and that name is not far from the reality. This is likely one of the best Bavarian lager beers you can get from Munich's oldest and still independent private brewery.

It pours a light golden color with a stable but thin head and is moderately carbonized. Smell is predominately malty with some fruity hints.

A very enjoyable beer, especially on warm summer evenings. Good balance between its malty sweetness and crisp bitterness.

Good beer, light color, nice balance of sweetness and hoppy, good hot weather beer, goes down super easy. Very good head and finish, I recommend any that is interested in this beer to give it a try, to me it is similar to German Helles style beers.

I had this at what had to literally be, the best beer festival-ish thing I've been to in my long life. Craft had this Drie Fontenein blowout it was like only $50 to attend and you sampled like two dozen different lambics. And the kicker? This awesome beer was all you can drink during the event. Just wild good time.

Anyhoo, one of those really pretty golden ample clarity type of beers. That same bierstadt level appearance perfection/near. 1" excellent retention white head, small bubbles, tight like before all the mileage. Aroma grain heavy but a friendly lager yeast remains plentiful. I am in flavor country.

Taste yields a firm and brisk noble hop presence alongside that grain presence that brings you to yellow beer and I mean that in an entirely complimentary way like four aces going nowhere riding gently towards the sun. Hitting that herbal bitter without discernable flavor per se. Well carbonated and a pleasure to drink. Why isn't this rated higher?

330ml brown bottle. Date code on label is 'L091132510'.
Mostly clear, pale gold colored body. One finger of fine bubble, white colored head, and this becomes islands and a full ring. Leaves behind tiny lacing spots.
Aroma has a sharp note, along with sweet toasted malts and an herb/floral contribution.
Taste is sharp and sweet, with toasted malts going to doughy bread. Noble hop bite. Lingering bright lager flavors in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Sparkling, crisp, and clean texture. Has a hop bite more than bitterness. Good carbonation.
Classic lager with a touch higher ABV%. Quite rewarding when looking for this type of brew.

Just the kind of lager I like to sprinkle in during this most favorite time of the year...

Truly enjoyed this - it was full-bodied, had a bit more carbonation that I appreciate, but it was and overall tasty instance of the style. Great job by this brewer...

Clear, golden color. Big, nice-looking, white head. Bread, malt, grass, and a hint of fruit in the aroma. Malty and crisp, with a pleasant herbal bitterness at the finish. Simple and pure.

Clear gold with large white head and great lacing. Crisp, herbal bitterness in nose and taste. A hint of apple. Medium bodied with strong carbonation. Solid, but I prefer the Helles.
