looks great, pours an amber red with a small white head of foam that disappears quickly leaving a nice amount of lace. Lots of bubbles. Quite clear.
Smells awesome. Nice maltiness typical of vienna or munich malt, and a floral noble hops flavour lurking in the background.
Taste is lager-like - straightforward with little complexity or surprises. Tastes similar to an oktoberfest or helles style euro lager - perhaps a bit more roasty than the latter, with that characteristic maltiness and an understated euro hop presence holding things together. The warmer you drink it, the more malt comes through. Finishes quickly leaving a bitter hoppiness behind.
Mouthfeel isn't anything surprising either. Light bodied with generous carbonation.
A good beer, but nothing I find too remarkable.

341ml bottle poured in a pint glass. Label states, "Red lager is a Vienna style lager but brewed about 20% stronger than a typical Vienna lager. The finish is smooth but carries notes of caramel and malts over top of a light base hops bitterness."
Pale copper colour and clear. Cream coloured head is 1/2 inch on the pour but recedes to a thin cap. Sporadic lacing.
Aroma is malty with a light hop background and hints of caramel sweetness.
Lightly sweet at the start and tangy throughout. Moderate malt carries the day with a light hop bitter finish and aftertaste.
Medium bodied with light carbonation. Quite smooth.
While this is a decent brew, it failed to reach out and grab me. Slightly above average, but nothing special.
