The classic hefeweizen aromas are here. Mainly clove, with some banana.

The appearance was hazy, as expected in this style. I was a bit disappointed with the poor head retention. While the head lasted, it was an off-white colour. No lace. It is a nice copper/ orange colour.

The flavours of a classic heffeweizen were right upfront; bananas and cloves... maybe a little bit of bubblegum in there someplace, and some citrus. The banana really stretches into the finish. THe malt flavours are not really in the foreground, but they are there and taste of sweet bread. I think it might have been a little too fusely (fusel alc., or higher alcohols) for the style. Over all though, great flavour... I might just be being too picky about the higher alcohols being in excess, this is just my opinion anyways.

Mouthfeel is good, they have the CO2 levels just right. Medium bodied.

Overall, it is a great wheat Beer, perfect for a hot summer day. Like the other guy, I'm confused as to why they would call this Beer "Light Wheat". So great Beer, strange name.

I'm not sure why they call this a Light Wheat. It's a great Bavarian style Hefeweizen.

A: Cloudy, light bronze & straw, white head, very little retention, no lace.

S: Cloves, banana, bready malt & hints of herbs. I smells like they even use German hops here.

T: Nice bready malts, pleasant clove & banana. Wonderful. One of the best tasting bottled hefe's I've had.

M: Moderate body is smooth, carbonation is a little high.

D: Very drinkable.
