The beer has served in a 22 oz. Hefe glass, and looed nice, with an inch or so of head, and a creamy, dark appearance. It also has a nice, scotchy aroma, appropriate to the style. Initially, the flavor is very sweet, and warming, which is nice, but the aftertaste is reminiscent of rancid grains. Assuming that they did not in fact use rotten grain, I figured that it was an older batch. This assumption was supported by the fact that, in a packed bar few others were drinking the scotch ale. The mouthfeel was borderline greasy, which did not help the rotten taste already prevalent. The appearance was initially excellent, as I stated earlier, but about a third of the way through the beer, the turned the lights down and turned on alot of black lights, which had the strange consequence of turning the beer green, making the beer nearly unfinishable. This isn't the beer's fault, but it is the brewpub's fault and it hurt the beer even more.
On the positive side, this was a relaxing break from the rest of the strip, with excellent pub grub and generous beer portions.

This Scotch Ale was very clear and deep brown. It had a poor head thus the head retention was poor. It could be because of high alcohol but still it was not up to style. It has a nice malty aroma and the malt flavor dominates. There was a very stong finishing bitterness. The mouthfeel was full with a fair amout of creaminess. It is a very drinkable beer and is my second favorite beer at the casino pub.

This beer was a Brewmaster Special when I visited. This ale poured a clear, dark red-brown with white foam. The pleasant smell was sweet and malty with a hint of alcohol. The taste was rich, and dominated by sweet malt with some oak, hints of fruitiness, caramel, and alcohol, and a trace of hops in the finish. The mouthfeel was crisp and warming. The drinkability was very good. This was the best of the set on this visit.
