Tall cobalt blue, swing top bottle. Pours an opaque black with a thick, creamy dark tan head that hold pretty well. Aroma is full of dark chocolate and sweet caramel some grain husk in there. Full bodied, with a smooth but dry mouth feel. Light malts sweetness. Pale and chocolate malts making up most of the flavor with a little caramel and a roasted dry flavor in the back. The finish is a smooth and dry much like the aroma. This beer is drinkable but is a little bland. This beer lacks many characteristics of a RIS, it sips more like dry stout or an oatmeal stout to me.
Cheers!

Thick, creamy cocoa colored head that slowly pulls to the goblet's sides. Opaque coal in color. Some thin and spotted lacing with pretty good strength.
Big, roasted dark chocolate. Tones of roasted/burnt nuts: almonds/hazlenut. Semi-sweet molasses with light hints of oak.
A peanut infused dark chocolate flavor with a rather chewy maltiness at first. Some light coffee and hazlenut notes. At mid-sip though, this stout's full flavors disappear and become very watery and airy. Floral hops and a bitter tea flavor lead to a dry finish.
A rather light 'full bodied'; weak, watery on the palate with a wave of carbonation that doesn't replace the absent chewiness, more typical of the style.
Good appearance and aroma, but this double stout falls well short where it counts most: flavor. Too thin and watery for the style; disappointing.
