Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a semi-burnt amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated fairly quick. Light lace. The aroma had a thick caramel/toffee sweetness with some earthy to citrusy hops. Low bitterness. The flavor copied the aroma fairly decently. Little bit of roast at the end. Flowed evenly into the aftertaste and on into the finish. The feel was between a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Overall, pretty good red ale, almost an Irish red ale, but just a good all around beer to take down with a burger.
