Val Dieu meets the heritage of Calvados Pere Magloire.
Patiently aged in oak barrels from this Norman icon, it reveals notes of baked apple, noble wood, and a hint of caramel.
Two traditions united in a beer of character.
A singular creation, available in limited quantity.

Capped off a super visit by bicycle to Val Dieu on 28SEP25 with a 0.18l pour of this one-off. Cost me €6.90...
Was a rich golden color with a little bit of haze within. Was topped by a creamy white head with nice lacing on the glass. Aroma had notes of apple brandy plus green apple and pear. Body was a solid medium, with a medium-smooth feel on the tongue.
Flavor was lightly sweet and fruity. Had more pear and green apple with some white grape as well. Had subtle notes of Calvados lurking in the background. Another solid Val Dieu brew. Wish they had offered larger servings, but it is what it is.... Prost!
