Aroma: Subdued nose, some citric hop smells
Appearance: Straw colored with a nice lasting head and good lace
Flavor: For a pale ale, the hops are a bit light, but they are there and pleasant. I would suggest a more aggressive hop flavor, but what the hops they are using are crisp and tasty. There is also a mild lemon character I found enjoyable.
Mouthfeel: light medium body, no real hop pucker
Overall Impression: A lightly hopped pale ale with a lemon twist. The lighter body, milder hops and citric note add to drinkability. I’d order this over the Blackhorse Ale if you are looking for light and refreshing.
