Appearance: Clear, dark brown body with a ruby-hued hints at the edges and capped with a small-sized, off-white head.
Smell: Modestly roasty nose with notes of chopped walnuts, chocolate powder, and coffee.
Taste: Chocolate and coffee blend with a taste of roasted nuts. Lightly sweet. All-around earthy taste. Very mild hop character and bitterness. Drying, nutty finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: It's a tolerable nut brown ale and one of the few offerings available at Blackhorse that wasn't riddled with buttery diacetyl.
