Van ‘T Vat at Kulminator
Slightly cloudy with almost no carbonation other than that
Forced by the hand pump.
Smooth, but light cherry flavor. Mildly tart as expected. The flavor is even and consistent, a well done effort. I always wished I had ordered this in a box when Belgium in a Box or Etre had it. This isn’t changing my mind.
One doesn’t find this beer in the US, so it is a rare treat.
The flavor lingers on the tongue, a pleasant reminder and foreshadowing of what an oude kriek may become.
Recommended.
I could get quite used to this.

On tap at Underdog@Legal Eagle, Dublin
Purple black with no head; horse blanket + lemon peel on the nose; black cherry, Balsamic vinegar, a woody vanilla thread, lime zest, hay loft, and a raspberry seed comeback; clean and dry.

A positively classic blended kriek. Deep, round, and smooth with funk, but cherry, too. Easy to sip and so juicy! Squishy berry fun from a set of master blenders.

3.1L bag-in-box. I read that the lambic industry accounts for 12% of all bag-in-box sales, which started with Girardin sometime in the late 90’s. Kriekenlambiek is traditionally a blend of straight 2 year lambic aged on the fresh cherry harvest, and served on draft from the barrel.
Gravity pour into a tumbler glass. Deep saturated crimson color, with a few loose bubbles but still otherwise. Towards the end of the box it’s nearly opaque.
Sour noordkrieken cherries and a touch of cinnamon bark, very fruit forward. Taste is full of tart and succulent cherries, again with a touch of lingering cinnamon. Medium bodied with vibrant fruitiness, still like a Danish cherry wine. Mild natural bitterness in the aftertaste. Really delicious, not much lambic funk, but it’s all about showcasing the fruit intensity.

12/18 out of Lambic bag in a box.
Ruby red color. Still.
Huge cherry and cherry pit flavor. Almonds with a hint of cinnamon. On LPK level which is crazy. Love it being flat. Very flavorful with only a hint of sour/acidity. Could drink a lot of this one.
