A 750ml corked and caged bottle, with a best before date of 3rd March 2032. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass.
Appearance: A hazy golden dark orange colour, with a two finger white head that had excellent retention and eventually settled to a fluffy cap, while leaving nice lacing.
Aroma: Funky, dusty, musty, rotting wood, citrus peel, orange, orange blossom, green apple, with a green leafy finish.
Taste: Light to moderate sourness, tart, lemon citrusy, orange tangy, green apple, light funky notes and a touch floral.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to high spritzy carbonation.
Overall: I’m so glad Oud Beersel have been experimenting with unique adjuncts. This one with orange blossom is one of those that I would never have thought about, and while perhaps not one of my favourites, it was still easy drinking and enjoyable.
