a: black and thick like oil, little carbonation at the top ever pulls together more than a few scattered islands
s: mild sour notes like vinegar, light roasted malts
t: roasted malts and chocolate with and the sour vinegar shows up at the end along with slight bitterness
m: thick, no surprise given abv (11%), little carbonation
d: not highly drinkable -- always tough with such high abv, and not highly memorable

A: Pours an ink black with a hint of garnet around the edges. Small dark tan bordering on cocoa head that doesn't last long and turns into that glass hugging ring.
S: Big alcohol and grain with underlying notes of dark stone fruits and chocolate.
T: Slightly sweet black cherry and plum notes make a very brief appearance but then it brings the pain and earns the "imperial" tag. Big earthy/peaty malts and alcohol that last throughout, with an accompaniment of bitter chocolate in the finish.
M: Full bodied to say the least. Velvety smooth. Astringent leaving that pasty/sticky feeling.
D: BIG is the best world to describe it. First batch... here's hoping theres more coming.
