On-tap 12/1/2013 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub, in Pawtucket, RI served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep reddish brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, Belgian yeast, some fruit, some spice and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out very sweet with flavors of caramel, brown sugar and fruit. Then some breadiness comes in from a hearty malt character and Belgian yeast. The hops presence is mild and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easy, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, it’s a decent beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.
