Funky stout with black currants aged in cabernet sauvignon barrels. Mix in some Belgian yeast and you have this beer. heavily carbed, light mouthfeel and tannic finish.

Dark black color with little to no head served in a pint glass.
Labeled as 7.8% abv
The beer was served cold and the barrel notes first came sweet like bourbon barrels. After warming up for a bit the tanic nature of the wine and the sourness of the beer really came through.
Good beer, but a slow sipper out of a wine glass.

On draft in a 10 oz. goblet. Very interesting mix of two styles I really like though never thought as a pair. Pours and looks like a stout which makes the aroma seem off when the fruit hits the nose (not a negative, just not expected). The balance between the roastiness of the stout and the tartness of the sour is nearly spot on though it seems more of a stouty sour than a sour stout.
