Boston Beer Summit. From a 16oz. can. Poured a dark caramel color. Smelled of dark fruits and yeast scents. Caramel. Flavor was more of the same. It's combination of yeast, caramel and fruit with an almost spicy flavor is pleasant. Would like to take in a whole can. Fuller, thicker bodied. Not enough of this style in the market so I welcome Doppelbocks whenever I can get them.

Last beer of the evening. A sipper. This beer is totally original and interesting. It defies type, and I'd class it a winter warmer - spicy, alcohol, carmel sweetness, fruit.

I didnt find it overdone, but it's sweet and rich and full bodied.

A: Hazed walnut body with fast fade head and some sticky lace.
S: Wanted more of it, but it's caramel malt on a baked apple. Apple on a stick.
T: A bit of nutmeg, but not overwhelming, atop a broad base of caramel, one of the most caramel beers I have ever had. prune/dark fruit/ ripe apple / cider. Nice long finish, not cloying.
MF: love the weight that works well with the sweet and the long almost peppery finish.

An outstanding winter warmer that'd I recommend.
