Pours a cloudy dark pink color with some light soapy bubbles along the edges and a small white heady that recedes quickly not leaving much lacing.

The aromas begin quite as expected but pleasant none-the-less. Light raspberry sour tarts is the best way to describe it. Not much of a base wheat beer is detectable, light biscuity/pilsner maltiness is there more as it warms.

The tastes follow the nose with light biscuity/crisp maltiness but the light sour raspberry flavor taking hold immediately. Not much complexity or flavor development as you consume.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Drinks a little fuller than I expected; not too sour or tart in the finish.

Overall this was a decent beer but fell a tad short for me in the end. Drank a lot your typical "craft" raspberry wheat beer with only a hint of sourness. Nothing too spectacular or complex but not horrible either.

On-tap 3/31/2012 at Track 84, in Warwick, RI served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a cloudy dark gold color, with a thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin on the glass.

S: The aroma contains tart fruit but not much raspberry, Belgian yeast and light caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a mildly tart and sweet flavor of raspberry but again not very much of it and it’s quickly followed by a strong breadiness from Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. In addition to not having as much raspberry as the name indicates, it’s not that sour either. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Not very tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, not a good representation of style, this is not a beer that I would recommend even for someone that wants a mild and less harsh sour beer.
