This is just a great tasting wheat beer. When poured, the color was a hazy wheat yellow with a medium amount of white foam that dissapated after a short while. The smell of cloves is what got my attention with a hint of yeast. The taste was a combination of a sweet/tart/carbination of spices and a yeasty bread flavor. Nicely balanced and this is one of my favorite Weisse Beers.

One of my birthday brews, this beer poured a pale straw featuring the trademark cloudiness of a Heffeweissen. The head appeared as a stark white cloud and dissipated quickly. The nose was initially sweet and biscuity with a hint of bananas underneath. Strong malt flavors were present in the tasting with mild fruit notes accenting it perfectly. The banana detected in the scent was also present on the palate along with other tropical fruits. Hints of mango and papaya were a nice surprise with some minor citrusy hop notes bringing up the rear

Poured from a 16.9 oz. tall brown bottle into a pint glass.
A: Darkish golden color, with a plenty of carbonation visible and a fizzy head that dissipates rapidly, leaving no lace.
S: Smells quite fruity, but not too sugary. Nice orangey scent with some apple, banana, and floral notes.
T: Lightly hoppy, and mostly fruity throughout. Not bitter in the least, and some smooth malts are tasteable up front. There isnt a whole lot of complexity, but there also arent any bad tastes at any stage. I wasnt completely intrigued by the first few sips, but now Im pretty impressed.
M: Refreshing and not that strong of a carbonation feel, even though its appearance is quite bubbly.
D: Perfect for a hot day, in particular, and any day that youre just looking for a solid, refreshing beer, in general. Great high-quality session beer.

Hazy, pale straw with very little head for a style that demands more in this department.
Grassy, lemony and mildly spicy with a bit of powdery residue in the back of the nose. Sweet fruit lingers throughout.
Wow, very sweet for a weisse, more of that fruit left over from the smell is really asserting itself on the palate. Yeast is noticable as well as some bubblegum however not much banana (if any). Tastes really good, actually, just not right for the style.
Too thin for a good weisse although it is quite refreshing and if I were to judge this soley on enjoyment rather than against style it would hold up much better to critique.

I had this (vom fass) at the Maisel Keller.
A: Hazy straw; fluffy white head, some retention, great lace.
S: Bready malt, pineapple, marmalaide/sweet citrus.
T: Bready, slightly sweet, with a hint of fruity esters (mainly banana in the aftertaste).
M: Light to moderate body, moderately-high carbonation.
D: It's alright, but not thrilling.

Sampled on-tap at Zum Sternla in Bamberg.
This hefeweizen poured a cloudy, yellow color with creamy, fluffy, white foam that persisted and clung to the glass in clumps. The smell was light bananas and citrus. The taste was initially a tart citrus followed by light banana with a hint of cinnamon and a touch of yeast following in the finish. Overall a good taste. The mouthfeel was smooth with medium-light body and good carbonation, but overall it was a bit thin. This was a light and refreshing weizen, though a bit thin on body.

Very hazy appearance, with the classic Hefe Weizen color. The head is quite scarce, and with some big bubbles on the sides. And it is quickly falling down.
The smell is very banana marked. Sweetie. A point of lactic.
The taste is honest, not too sweet. Easy and drinkable. Right carbonation. Quite pleasant.
No defect, standard body. A thin hopping in the aftertaste, under the dominant citric and banana.
In the style.
