Golden and shiny, yet not entirely clear, a thick head, lots of tiny carbonation bubbles and proper lacing.

Smells a little musty and sharp, also somewhat buttery: spicy hops and grainy/dry malt blended together perfectly, with a delicate yeasty note added.

Thick chewy malt upfront (some apple flavors), followed by a more neutral and slightly yeasty phase, after which a touch of hops manifests itself in the finish. Aftertaste is clean, malty and dry, a bit sour as well. Not as sweet as the average Helles and less depth of taste allover. The curious (and to me somewhat unsettling) thing about this one is the rather strong buttery flavor which is constantly present.

Carbonation is pretty strong and is coupled with a thin-to-medium body.

A decent and honest, but in no way unforgettable beer.

Strong, clear golden brew with a confident head that lasts a good long while before slowly receding. Looks the part and then some.

Apples, sweet corn, same musty grain and a scent remeniscent of sawdust.

A no-frills, businesslike approach to the style; even-keeled malt/grain balance with a soft sweetness on the finish.

This won't win any awards for originality but it delivers a strong product with excellent drinkablitlity for its light body, moderate carbonation and easy pairing possiblities with food.

BBE 2-07. White head and crystal clear pale golden beer. Nose is lots of flowery& citrussy Spalthops and fine fresh maltyness. Good and full taste even with 4.6 ABV ( 11P) and almost perfectly balanced beer with good carbonisation and well dosed bitterness. One of the better Helles I know IMO.

Sampled again 11-11 and this bottle showed quiet a lot of oxidation. Shure first bottle didn't have this "applejuice" note.
