Poured from a 16.9 oz. tall brown bottle into a pint glass.
A: Yellowy-gold in color, with plenty of bubbles up the sides, and a tiny amount of head that leaves little cling.
S: Fairly malty, with some piney hops underneath. Faint sweet smell, as well, possibly apples or some kind of fruit.
T: Bland at first, but then there’s a bubbling up of bittery maltiness and some subtle flavors, followed by a somewhat sugary taste. The finish is smooth, and leaves only remnants of the bitterness. Overall, the effects are very subtle.
M: Fairly watery and light, and the carbonation feel fades as the beer sits in the glass.
D: Not all that challenging on the palate, so it would be easy to have a few of these in a row.
Overall, a pretty good summery session beer, although I prefer their Bamberger Hefeweizen if I’m in the mood for such a beer.
