The color when poured in a pint glass was a very dark brown with medium foam that dissapated after a medium short time. The smell or sweet roasted malts and candy filled the nose with a pleasant soft aroma. The taste was of roasted malts, coffee with brown sugar. Some spices with a slight hint of fruit. Well balanced with all those components along with a fair amount of carbination on the finish. Great Weisse Bock, for me one of the better ones!

Pours with a ridiculously large, almost unmanageable head. Dark amber, good head retention. Roaster malt aroma. Heavy malt taste, with notes of winter spices. Somewhat bitter aftertaste, almost like medicine. Definitely not a very drinkable beer. Ive had better and I've had worse.

A- Very dark amber red color that is difficult to see through. This beer pours a very large light tan head with great retention and amazing lacing.

S- Good sweet malty aromas up front, caramel and brown sugar hints of fruit as well. Some nice earthy aromas and floral hops make a presence as well.

T- Good caramel maltiness to start things off then some fruity character, bananas I would say. Some herbal spice and earth notes as well. Some alcohol bite but not to much just enough to make you notice it. It is a pretty good tasting beer, not the best of the style though.

M- Medium to full bodied with some nice syrupy texture and balanced with hop and carbonation bite.

Overall this beer has some good flavors and aromas it is very good but not my favorite in the style. It is worth trying.

Had this beer at the Bon Accord in Glasgow during the Scottish Beer Festival...

Head retention was pretty weak, although the overall taste was spectacular....

Some pear flavor was apparent, along with a sour wheat bite...

Hopefully I will review sometime further in the Glasgow Scottish Beer festival...

poured a deep rich brown with no head that left obviously no lacing
smell was a big sweet malt, a hint of apple and a alcohol presence
taste was the same as the nose but the alcohol was dominating and "hot"
mouthfeel was light to medium and smooth
drinkability, well this would go down much easier if not for that alochol presence
reading up on the style that alcohol presence is standard so properly adjusted

Thought I would try something new tonight. Didn't know that it wasn't even on here yet though. Pours a deep dark brown with a lot of haze. Little to know head. Little to know light gets through. Smell is very sweet with some coffee and toffee or caramel aroma. Also a hint of the wheat. The taste is very complex very sweet with lots of yeast but then ends with a very coffee and toffee/caramel taste. Very nice and complex. The mouthfeel is lacking because it has almost no carbonation and is pretty heavy. The drinkability is not all that great because it is so heavy and sweet. Very nice though.
