Sample tasted from Growler thanks to RLB.

Poured a medium and clear brownish/reddish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of nuts, caramel, light toffee with some grassiness to it. Body was on the thinner side.

On tap.

A: Poured a dirty orange with a moderate white head.

S: light toasted grains, buttered toast, some honey sweetness and a faint flowery hopping.

T: For flavor there was a slight malt sweetness, some fresh cereal grains and a light floral hopping rounding things out. the nose proved more promising then the flavor delivered.

M: light somewhat watery lacking substance and graininess per style.

D: The beer drank rather bland and unexiciting as I would pass on a second one.

Pours orange/amber with a thin off-white head that slowly fizzles to a patch.

The smell is of lightly roasted caramel and graininess.

The taste is of sweet caramel with some graininess. Malty with just a touch of earthy hop presence. Roasted caramel candy dominates. Reminds me more of an amber ale - though I know that it is a lager. Not quite as smooth as I would like it to be, it has a medium-body but something thickish about it.

Not bad, but doesn't really stand out as something much above average overall.

growler courtesy of richlikebeer...
Appears a deep amber with a decent white head.
Smell is of caramel, sweet corn syrup, and light hops.
Taste is about on par with the smell but slightly better.
Mouthfeel is a bit thin but creamy and pleasant with some sweet notes coming through.

Not a good offering from barley creek. Decent orange hue, but little head or head retention coupled with no lacing kept this beer down in the appearence category. The taste was a little weak, that malt blast that one expects from an o-fest wasnt there, and was a bit hoppy even for me ( a huuuge hop fan). I wont be buying it again this year maybe next though.
