Pours dark tawny amber, fairly typical for an American marzen. Smells spicy and bready: nothing exceptional, but nothing off.
Tastes like it smells: a medium-strength version of an American marzen. It doesn't take any risks, but it also avoids many of the pitfalls that undercut lesser versions of the style.
I was a little afraid of this place, considering the reviews, so many my expectations were unfairly low. I dunno. It was okay.
