Be careful with this big brew…it will sneak up on you. Aurora and Hallertau hops help balance the huge malty taste. Try Mountaineer with good, spicy Caribbean food or slow-roasted meats.

Appearance: Presented in a pint glass. Light golden/honey tint with foamy head. A little lacing noted throughout tasting.
Smell: Only a light malty aroma perceived. Malt aroma leans toward the sweet side.
Taste: Mildly sweet malts predominate. Honey very noticeable in this beer. Hops are minimally there, they really take a backseat. Aftertaste is fairly clean. Doesn't really represent a maibock that well.
Mouthfeel: Smooth but a little lighter than what I would be expecting from a maibock. Smooth quality.
Drinkability: Ok, but perhaps a little light for what I would expect.
Overall, perhaps a bit more malt/balancing hop presence and a little less honey would make this a less sweetand better-balanced brew. Not bad, but not very representative of the style, IMO.
